Cookin’ Greens and The Yoga in Motion Event..

On April 11^th, 2011,  Cookin’ Greens had the great pleasure of being part of The Yoga in Motion event hosted by Mount Sinai Hospital to raise money for breast cancer research. This was our first time as a product presenter at this event, from this perspective it was a wonderful day.

  

The other Cookin’ Greens  team members that participated, Cheryl & Alan, were also very impressed with the level of sophistication of the event held for this very important cause. It was held at the Liberty Grand a beautiful old building on the CNE grounds.Upon arrival,  we were greeted by a nice  (and very handsome) gentleman in his suit very “a la Men in Black” that held the door open for us as we entered. Talk about making us feel special.  

We then enter the presentation area located in the Renaissance Room. It was so nicely set up and organized: the presentation tables were draped in beautiful white table cloths. There was a stunning low hanging chandelier in the middle of the room.  They had set up comfy seating area for the participants to mingle and enjoy their complimentary treats.

So how did we do?? Cookin’ Greens was very well received by the participants. They raved about the freshness of our greens, the convenience and marvelled at how easy they are to work with.  

Overall Yoga in Motion is a very well organized event; everyone involved was gracious and helpful.  The participants and suppliers all received red carpet treatment. Not only will Cookin’ Greens be a part of this again next year but  hope to have a Cookin’ Greens Yoga team participating in the event as well!

We Survived!

We are just getting over the excitement of ‘The National Woman’s Show’.  We are so happy to have been a part of such a great event. The Cookin’ Greens™ booth was hopping all weekend long. We talked to 100’s of health conscious women that loved our concept of flash frozen greens.  They we surprised at how easy it was to add greens to their diet, most were aware of the amazing health benefits of dark leafy greens but did not know how to use them. We were happy to tell people that we have solved their problem with our blanched, double washed, chopped Kale, chopped Rapini , chopped Spinach and our Designer Mix (spinach, collards, rapini, yellow bean and onions). We demonstrated how easy it was to cook the greens and how delicious they were all on their own, or added in dishes like lasagna, pasta sauces, omelets and stir fry’s.

On Monday November 15, 2010 we will be announcing the winners of our great giveaways. We received hundreds of entries; unfortunately there will only be three lucky winners. So if you submitted a ballot we may be contacting you on Monday, good luck to all.

Cookin’ Greens is hitting the road! Our roving demo trailer will be at various Metro store parking lots throughout the months of September and October.

 

 

If you see the CG trailer come up and try a sample, and if you like what you taste, you can pick up a bag or two in the Metro’s Health and Wellness/Organic frozen food section.  When you have made your purchase visit the roving demo trailer again and show Peter your invoice and he will give you a free Cookin’ Greens thermal bag. Cookin’ Greens™ is proud to have partnered with the CNIB at a 1st time Yoga Event last week, put on for partially sighted and blind participants. Why the partnership?? Cookin’ Greens™ has taken part in CNIB’s “Vision Health Month” to promote the connection that dark, leafy greens are an important part of eye health, and can help prevent certain eye diseases.


Attendees were amazed at the new flash frozen, ready to serve product. Some commented that they don’t normally like to cook these kind of greens because it’s too time consuming BUT, Cookin’ Greens™ to the rescue! The attendees sampled these yummy greens and saw how easy they are to prepare – it got these die hard yoga attendees chatting amongst themselves in what was supposed to be a silent yoga room!
